Woodgrange
The neighbouring up-market suburb of Woodgrange-On-Sea is built on the adjacent hillside overlooking Hibberdene and many of the attractive homes have sweeping sea views.
Umzumbe
This quiet village just an hour from Durban lies just off the main road and so is frequently overlooked but nonetheless has much to offer. For anyone wishing to buy a comfortable holiday or retirement home with good sea views this may be the place to look. There's a feeling of calm and solidity about the place. For the young there's a challenging surf break known as ‘'the spot'' and for older residents excellent birding along the Umhlangamkulu River and the nearby craft market also adds interest There is also an excellent family hotel and conference centre.
Pumula
Pumula , lying between the N2 and the R102, is a rather quiet suburb with a good mix of homes from the ordinary to the spectacular and a high percentage of permanent and retired residents.
Melville
Melville extending on both sides of the R102 has a wide range of house types as well as an attractive caravan park. The village has been rather overlooked in the recent property boom so there may still be a few good buys to be had here.
